Thai iced milk tea is a favourite for its unique blend of spices and sweetness. If you’re concerned about the sweetness, no worries—you can adjust it to your taste! It’s super easy to make at home, and preparing the tea base ahead of time will save you some hassle. Enjoy this refreshing treat just the way you like it!
PREP TIME : 5 mins
COOK TIME : 30 mins
SERVINGS : 5 Cups
65 g Thai tea mix
800 ml water
120 g white sugar (adjust to your preferred sweetness)
150 ml coconut milk (may substitute with whole milk or sweetened condensed milk)
Some ice cubes
1. Bring water to a boil in a small pot and add the Thai tea mix. Stir in sugar gently until it’s fully dissolved. Let the tea simmer for about 3 minutes, then remove from heat.
2. Allow the tea to infuse for at least 30 minutes and cool down. The longer it infuses, the richer the Thai tea flavour will be.
3. Strain out the tea leaves with a cloth filter. Keep in the fridge if you are preparing ahead of time.
4. Fill glasses with ice and pour in the Thai tea, leaving enough room for your choice of dairy. For a 500ml glass, add about 5 tsp and adjust to your preference.
