Vietnamese Coconut Coffee Recipe - EASY ⭐️

Vietnamese Coconut Coffee Recipe - EASY ⭐️

Vietnamese coffee is known for its rich, bold flavors with a touch of chocolatey sweetness, thanks to the way it's roasted. The climate in Vietnam, the unique mix of beans, and the phin filter brewing method give it a flavor that stands out from most other coffees. Its strong taste makes it great for experimenting with different recipes to switch up the flavor and make it your own.

PREP TIME : 5 mins
COOK TIME : 5 mins
SERVINGS : 1 Cup

Traditional Vietnamese phin filter (May substitute with a French Press)
2 tbsp of Vietnamese ground coffee
Sweetened condensed milk (Adjust to your preferred sweetness)
⅓  cup coconut milk

1. Place the phin filter on top of the glass or cup where you’ll brew the coffee. Add the ground coffee to the filter chamber and spread it evenly.

2. Press the filter press gently onto the coffee grounds, then add 1 tbsp of hot water to the chamber. Let it sit for 20-30 seconds to allow the coffee to bloom.

3. Pour in the ½ cup of hot water, cover the chamber with the filter lid, and wait for the coffee to drip through the holes. If the coffee drips too fast, press the filter more to slow it down.

4. Once the grounds are fully brewed, remove the filter.

5. In a separate saucepan, mix the coconut milk and sweetened condensed milk. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring continuously until steam rises and small bubbles form around the edges.

6. Pour the milk mixture over the brewed coffee. Add some ice cubes for a refreshing iced coconut coffee.
